This policy explains what Rouleur Partners LLC, which runs Fun Hog ("we") collects, why, and the choices you have. It applies to funhogmarket.com and to texts with us. Our terms apply too.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email and profile picture from Google sign-in, and your phone number once you verify it.
- What you tell us: messages to our assistant, photos, item details, prices, and what you're hunting for.
- Where you are, roughly: a zip code or time zone if you give one, so we only text during daytime hours.
- Your texting choices: when and how you said yes or no to texts, the wording you agreed to, and, for choices made on the web, your IP address and browser.
- Technical logs: IP address, browser and pages visited, to keep the service running and secure.
- How the site is used: pages visited and where visitors came from, counted by Vercel Web Analytics without cookies; and which homepage buttons are pressed. When you press “Hunt for it” or “Start selling”, we set a cookie holding a random number, not your name, so we can see whether starting it worked. It is deleted when you finish, or after a day.
How we use it
- To run Fun Hog: write up items, estimate prices, match buyers and sellers, and reply to you.
- To send the texts you asked for, within the limits you agreed to.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to meet legal obligations, including keeping records of consent.
- To improve the service, for example by learning from matches people turned down.
What other people see
Items you publish, with their photos and details, are public. Items you keep private stay private; items marked "ask me first" are shown to a buyer only after you say yes. Your name, email and phone number are not shown to other users unless you choose to connect with them.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with companies that run parts of the service for us, under contract and only for that purpose: hosting and site statistics (Vercel), our database and sign-in (Supabase), sign-in with Google, our AI assistant (Anthropic), and text messaging (Twilio). We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect people from fraud or harm.
Mobile numbers and text messaging
We do not share or sell your mobile number, or your text messaging opt-in data and consent, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our texts.
How long we keep it
We keep your account information while your account is open. Records of your texting choices are kept for at least four years after our last text to you, because the law lets people raise claims about texts for that long. Records of which homepage buttons were pressed are deleted after 12 months. When you close your account we delete or anonymize the rest, except what we must keep by law.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop texts from us, or turn alerts off on your account page.
- Ask us for a copy of your information, to correct it, or to delete your account.
- California residents have these rights under the CCPA; we do not sell or share personal information for advertising.
Children
Fun Hog is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
